Any licensee that has an event and does not obtain a new application and uses their old application and makes the changes will be made to come in before the Board!

​GUIDELINES FOR MOBILE FOOD TRUCK
A mobile food truck that is an LLC, Corporation, Partnership, that have formed their articles of organization and have a federal ID number, Sales & Use & Traders / Traders license for Washington County, MD, and wants to sell & serve alcoholic beverages during any event, must obtain a One-Day Event License, even if the event that they are attending holds a One-Day Event License.

REGULATIONS FOR MOBILE FOOD TRUCK
1 - During the event the mobile food truck must be stationary and after the event is over and it
leaves the event location, the one-day event license is expired, and they CAN NO LONGER sell or serve alcoholic beverages, and the alcoholic beverages must be removed from the Mobile Food Truck.
2 - If at any time the above regulation is broken, privileges for a One-Day Event License will be permanently revoked.

MOBILE FOOD TRUCK MUST SUPPLY FOR EACH ONE-DAY EVENT

Completed application that is signed and notarized by all licensee's, landlord & also if needed the signature & approval of a One-Day Event license holder.

A copy of a Crowd Control Management certification, they must be certified on duty during the entire event, in and around your mobile food truck. https://www.crowdmanagers.com/training

A copy of an Alcohol Awareness Certification, Tips, Serve Safe or any other acceptable MD Alcoholic Beverage Training Certification that is proctor lead. WHAT DOES A MOBILE FOOD TRUCK NEED TO OBTAIN A ONE-DAY EVENT LICENSE
1. Three (3) people to go on the license, that are affiliated with the LLC, Corporation or Partnership and one must be resident of Washington County, MD.
A. All must be 21 years of age or over.
B. Copies of valid driver’s license.
C. All must not have any serious criminal convictions or felonies.
D. All must be United States Citizens.
2. A copy of your Federal ID number on the approved IRS letterhead.
3. A copy of your MD Sales & Use Certification.
4. A copy of your Traders / Business License from the Washington County, MD., Clerk of Courts.
5. A copy of driver's license for all licensees.
6. A copy of a Utility bill (Electric, Water, Gas) of Washington County resident, stating the location listed on your driver's license.
7. An inspection by the Liquor Board inspector for each event held at a different location, and their approval given to the Board.

All must appear in person before the Board when application has been accepted by the Office Administration and a hearing date is scheduled, if necessary. ​

RULES FOR THE MOBILE FOOD TRUCK

The license must be displayed at the event location, within the Mobile Food Truck during the entire event that you are selling and serving alcoholic beverages for on premise consumption only.

No alcohol shall be dispensed into cups displaying the name or advertisement for any soft drink or non-alcoholic beverage. Prohibit the sale of alcoholic beverages to minors and adults that would furnish alcohol to minors.

If you are obtaining a One-Day Event License for an event that has already obtained a One-Day Event License you must get permission from the landlord and the licensee to obtain your One-Day Event License and you must use the cups, glasses, containers that they are using at the One-Day Event location.

Discourage the sale of alcoholic beverages to impaired adults and prohibit the sale of alcohol to intoxicated persons. The Board recommends light snacks such as pretzels, chips or popcorn to help combat the over consumption of alcohol.

Educate servers to the rules and regulations, and there must be at least one alcohol awareness certified person on duty at all times during the event. Certification can be obtained by attending a class that is held once a month for $75.00 at the Washington County Liquor Board. Certification is good for four (4) years.

Ensure adequate staffing to oversee the event and prevent pass off to minors.

All guests must present a valid I.D. of legal drinking age.

Arm bands must be provided for those consuming alcoholic beverages when having anyone under the age of 21 attending the event. Arm bands are for servers to recognize that anyone wearing an arm band is 21 years of age and over.

For all outside events there must be a designated area for the consumption of alcohol and there must be a 3 to 4-foot fencing surrounding that area with one way in and out. There must be someone at that entrance over the age of 21 that will be checking I. D’s and arm bands.

Arrange alternate transportation for alcohol impaired drivers.

Alcoholic beverages should no longer be available for consumption or sell thirty minutes prior to the end of your event.

All beer, wine or liquor must be purchased through a MD licensed wholesaler and/or a Washington County, MD., licensed retail liquor store.

Persons under the age of twenty-one (21) shall not be served or consume any alcoholic beverage.

No alcoholic beverage shall be carried or taken off the licensed premises.

Licensees must check IDs of ticket holders/guests upon arrival of event and an arm band should be given to anyone over the age of twenty-one (21) that will be consuming alcohol.

This provision applies to one-day event license, any change in location of event or a change of one or more persons on an existing license, changes must be made prior to the event.

No other alcohol can be brought into the event by guests!

IF YOU ARE RAFFLING OFF ALCOHOL (Basket of Cheer, Single Bottles, etc.) you will need to obtain a Basket of Cheer Permit for $10.00 per item. *
